Michael Schiavo

BIO

Prior to founding Spectrum, Mike built a fund administration practice for a New York- based professional services firm from 2017 until its acquisition in early 2022. Mike has 30 years of experience as a Partner and CFO of venture capital and private equity partnerships. His career in private equity began with TA Associates and includes positions at Advent International, MVP Ventures, Parthenon Capital and Kodiak Venture Partners.

He founded CFO Consulting Services LLC, a provider of outsourced CFO advisory and tax services to private equity and venture capital clients. His roles included managing firm finance, accounting and tax functions, legal due diligence and regulatory compliance, fundraising, negotiation of limited partnership agreement terms and conditions, and investor relations. He has also been a member of firm investment committees, participated in investment due diligence efforts, prepared and negotiated investment term sheets and worked with attorneys to close investments. He has served on the boards of directors of both public and private companies including KVH Industries (NASDAQ: KVHI) and Boston Private Bank & Trust Company. He holds degrees from Siena College (BBA – Accounting), Suffolk University (MBA), and Bentley University (MST). He is an Enrolled Agent, admitted to practice before the Internal Revenue Service.
